Intergovernmental cases
The Central Registry in the state of Georgia is the unit that handles intergovernmental cases where parents of a child(ren) live outside this state. If you need assistance with a case in Georgia, please follow the instructions below:
- If you are the custodial parent or custodian and you live outside the state of Georgia and the other parent lives within Georgia, please contact the case manager in your state of residence for assistance.
If your case manager cannot resolve your complaint or issue, they can ask the Central Registry in your state for further assistance.
- If you are the custodial parent or custodian and you live in the state of Georgia and the other parent lives in a different state or country, please contact the case manager in your local child support office for assistance. Locate the office address in the list of locations.
- If you are the noncustodial parent and you live in the state of Georgia and the other parent lives in a different state and you need assistance, please contact the case manager in your local child support office for assistance. Locate the office address in the list of locations.
If you have already contacted your local child support office for assistance and you have an unresolved complaint or issue, please request that your local office contact the Central Registry in the other state.
- If you are the case manager in another state and need assistance or information, please send an email to the Georgia Central Registry. Please include the following:
- Your name;
- The names and case numbers of the parents in both states and/or countries;
- Your daytime telephone number;
- Your complete mailing address.
